     Israel is loaded with many archaeological sites. They are as common here as the lakes and rivers in North America. Wherever you throw a stone, it's bound to fall close to an ancient archaeological site. Some of these antiquity sites though are more outstanding than others, for each have their own special historical roots, preserved relics, and reconstructed ruins. I've tried to classify these unique sites into geographic areas that should help in not missing them, when planning your visit to Israel.
